As a niche customs and excise office, we are looking for an experienced customs and excise lawyer (with at least 5 years' experience) to join our team.

Your role at Customs Legal
As a senior lawyer specializing in customs and excise law, you will become an essential part of a specialized team with more than 25 years of practical experience. You will work on complex cases and legal issues that have a direct impact on our clients' international trade. This includes disputes with customs authorities, excise procedures, interpretation of European regulations, strategic contract advice and support during audits or collections.
You will be the first point of contact for national and international companies and will support them in every step of their import and export processes. You will combine substantive expertise with strategic insight and will take an active role in the further expansion of our practice.
What we are looking for in you
- You have a master's degree in law and have at least 5 years of experience as a lawyer, ideally with a specialization or demonstrable practical experience in customs and excise law.
- You have a strong legal background and are able to manage cases independently and provide strategic advice.
- You are analytical, solution-oriented and have an eye for detail, without losing sight of the broader commercial picture.
- You communicate clearly, think in a customer-oriented manner and have the ability to make complex legal matters understandable for clients.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French or another language is a plus.
- You are ambitious and enjoy contributing to the growth of a specialized practice.
